Snow Ranch has an altitude of 4,010 m. It was the traditional place for winter grazing of Muya in those days. Flocks and herds grazing at here always grow well and with much milk, because the place is surrounded by mountains, with lush valley water and grasses in the middle part, and a small river with nine bends and eighteen turns passes through the ranch and raises the ground and flocks and herds. People say that it is milk in the river rather than water, therefore, the river is called as “Emiqu”, meaning the milk river. It is an ideal winter ranch in the Maya Region. In winter, Muya people always drive the flocks and herds to Snow Ranch. There are flocks and herds everywhere, and the ranch is filled with pastorals and jollifications. It is an ideal place to enjoy a pastoral life and experience the Muya culture.
